*sigh* Why do these people exist?

Maybe it's just me, but I wonder sometimes.... Why do people like this exist? I mean really. I've been watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians for the past half-hour mostly due to there being nothing on the damn DirecTV,GOD help me. And I wonder why do rich spoiled fucking whores like this get their own tv show? Kim is a slut who released a sex tape with some black dude using her in every conceivable way and then pissing on her. I guess she's supposed to be a role model, eh? Her sister Khloe was sentenced to community service and a rehab course for a DUI, and when she didn't bother to do either was convicted and sentenced to 30 days, of which she only served 3 hours. She was released due to "overcrowding" in the only female inmate center in LA. A couple of questions come to mind, first, when the fuck are they going to build a new prison for the ladies to relieve the "overcrowding" problem, and how many blowjobs did she have to pass out to the cops in this prision to get out early?

Maybe I'm jaded, but when people like the Kardashians, the Lohans, the Spears, and all of their ilk roam the street of Los Angeles doing whatever the fuck they want and as far as I've seen they are untouchable by the law. Either they get busted and spend a small amount of time in jail, usually amounting in a small few hours, or they do things that are illegal in full view of cameras and the public and nothing happens. Police like Sherrif Lee "Chewy" Bacca are a disgrace to their badges by letting the celebrity of their inmates blind them to both the law and the orders of Judges. Too many celebs skate by on their so called "fame" and get away with murder(See "o.j. Simpson case, circa 1990's). Someone once said that if O.J. had been a buis driver and not a famous former athelete/actor, then the "Trial of the Century" would have been another day in court andhe would have been put in jail for life or on death row. Same thing with Paris Hilton. If she had just been another hooker on Hollywood and Vine, then she would have been locked up for a couple of monhts to a couple of years. And don't get me started on Lindsay Lohan. How many times has she been busted for drug use, possession, DUI, etc., etc., etc., and not served more than 75 minutes time total? What the FUCK happened to the idea of justice? Maybe I should become a millionaire so I can get wasted and kill people too.

In closing, all I can say is that Hollywood is full of parasites that can get away with whatever the fuck they want and I cannot stand it. I just read that Christian Bale was charged with assault on his mom and sister over in England. I don't know the specifics of what happened but if he did in fact assault them he should do some time for it. But the interesting part is that Mr. Bale made an appointment to meet with police to turn himself in and did it quietly and without having the cops come get him. What's shocking about that is that he's in the highest grossing film of this summer, maybe of all time, and he could have hiddwen behind his lawyers or agetns but instead he did the right thing, withous fuss, without press releases, without drawing attention to how "unfair" the police are. He did the right thing. He may have made a mistake, but he did the right thing and is currently sitting in a London jail, awaiitng his day in court to tell his side of the story and face whatever punishment is in store for him if he's guilty. I respect that. He is, by doing what should be done, showing that he knows that NO ONE is above the law, and that he accepts that he has done something wrong and is willing to face the consequences. He sets and example that NO ONE in Hopllywood would ever do as unlike England, Hollywood is full of the elite who are apparently NEVER responsible for their actions, and are NEVER to be held accountable for what their self destructive lifestyles do to others. Fuck the Kardashians, the Lohans, the Simpsons(Jessica and Ashlee), and especially the Hiltons.

Who Ya Gonna Call?

On July 8th 1984, the world was given the best movie of all time.....GHOSTBUSTERS. This year is the 24th anniversary of the event and I wanted to let the world know what a HUGE fan of the professional, paranormal, investigators and eliminators I am.

As a kid I never got to see Ghostbusters on the big screen, I had to wait for the video tape release(Remember VHS?). I first laid eyes on the team about a year or so after their theatrical debut and I was hooked. I have personally seen the movie over 200 times and even today, if it's on tv, I will sit and enjoy it all over again. This is indeed not only my favorite movie, but it is one that I have to say got me interested in paranormal investigation and the hows and why's of the supernatural. And I have to say that YES, I DO sing the theme song in the car each and every time it plays on the radio. :-)

Imagine my delight when in September of 1986, I awoke on a Saturday morning to see that the Ghostbusters had their own cartoon entitled, The Real Ghostbusters. I was a very very excited 10 year old. I was steadfastly loyal to the show and was their every Saturday at 10 am to watch the show even when it was a re-run. The only other cartoon I've ever been that loyal too is Transformers and i'll talk about them in another post. This show took the best of the movie and gave it to us every weekend without fail and it did so for 5 years, until it's eventual cancellation in 1991. Mostly due to the nonsense of making Slimer the primary character over the Ghostbusters and ABC's insistence on dumbing down the show in the last couple of seasons. The fans have begged for RGB to be released on DVD and for years Sony/Columbia/Tri-star(The rights holders) refused to budge. Now Time-Life DVD is going to release all 7 seasons of the show on somewhere between 26 and 30 dvds this fall and I'm excited again, just like I was when I was 10 years old. I tried as best I could to get the toys but all I managed to get was a broken Ecto-1, the Ecto-3, and the Ray and Winston action figures. I was VERY envious of all of the kids with the Proton Packs and the Ghost Trap and the PKE Meter. LOL

Well try to imagine the Shock and Awe (TM) I had when one afternoon I'm watching tv and there's a commercial for Ghostbusters II coming June 16th 1989. I had a virtual joygasm and I think I may have soiled myself. I was so very excited, but once again there would be no theatrical viewing for me as my parents simply did not have the extra cash to spare for me to go see it. :-( Well once again I had to wade through all of the merchandising that was teasing me about my inability to see the movie, until finally I could see it on video. However it proved so popular a rental that it was another year or two before I could rent it. *sigh* When I did see it, I was in total enjoyment of the sequel. I know that there are people who say that the movie was a weak sequel and that it was a kind of retread of the same ground from the first movie, but I attribute the bad box office to the fact that it was released against Indiana Jone and the Last Crusade, and of course the 1989 summer move killer Batman. What Indy didn't take out Batman finished, truly making 1989 the summer of the Bat and totally decimating GB2 in the process.

Well all was quiet on the Ghostbusting front, with only a few minor websites keeping the torch lit and re-runs of RGB to watch. Until the 15th anniversary DVD of GB1 came out in 1999, there was not much to talk about GB wise. Then things slowly started to change. In 1997 a continuation of RGB called Extreme Ghostbusters came out. It only lasted 40 episodes but it brought back Egon, Janine, Slimer and added a new team of Ghostbusters from Egon's Paranormal class he taught at Columbia University, to take on the Ghosts that were released in the first episode. It was pretty cool with new GB's, new equipment and in a special 2 part episode near the end of the series featured the return of the Real Ghostbusters. It was excellent, and in my opinion it was canceled way before it's time.

88MPH Studios released a 4 issue Ghostbusters comic called Legion that was an interesting side story to the franchise, but due to problems within the studio with meeting release dates and putting together the Hardcover TPB, they have more or less went out of business. And our pleas for a third Ghostbusters film have been denied. Seems that Bill Murray owns a piece of the pie on GB and refused to do a third movie as he hates sequels and feels that the failure of the second movie means that the franchise is over. He also is a douche on licensing his likeness out for current GB toys, but that's another topic for another blog. However, Sierra came up with a way for all to be pleased by going to the cast and crew and inviting them to work together with the game studio to make a Ghostbusters game that will be in essence Ghostbusters 3. The game coming this October, will be written by the original writing team for the first two movies(Dan Ackyroyd and Harold Ramis). And will star the voice talents of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, Dan Ackyroyd, Annie Potts, William Atherton(reprising his role as E.P.A. douche supreme Walter"Dickless" Peck), Brian Doyle Murray, and I'm sure others from the two previous movies that simply haven't been announced yet. From the previews I have seen, I am back to being a kid again with extreme happiness all over. I cannot wait for this game.

As far as merchandising goes, I do have the Soundtracks to both movies and on my PC I have both the Soundtracks and Scores for GB 1, GB 2, RGB, and EGB. And at one time I even owned and beat the Commodore 64 version of the Ghostbusters game. :-) So I guess you could say that even though I don't have the cash to buy all of the merchandise, I am Still a really big fan of the Ghostbusters. So when there's something strange in the neighborhood, Who Ya Gonna Call?
