Awesome Anime Vol.2 - Excel Saga

Excel Saga.... From the moment you turn the dvd on, the parody and insanity are wall to wall for every minute of the show's 26 episode run as well as the 6 dvd's the try futilely to contain the madness of show creator's Koushi Rikudou's creations. The show revolves around the adventures or should I say, Mis-Adventures of Excel, Hyatt, and their illustrious leader Lord Illpalazzo as they try to drive all of the corruption out of the world and conquer the planet, starting one small Japanese city at a time. They are stymied at times by the city defense force Daitenzin, who are made up of civil servants dressed up in sentai outfits.(i.e like Power Rangers)
. Every episode is done in a different style, like action movie, love drama, kung fu flick, etc. and whenever things get too crazy the Great Will of the Macrocosm can reset the storyline. . .and is called upon to do so frequently, especially when Excel gets killed, which is quite often. lol Every episode is chock full of all sorts of fun things and running jokes and the very last episode is so full of completely inappropriate and hysterical material it has only ever been show once on Japanese television. So do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this series and be prepeared to laugh yourself silly. Just be sure to sit on a towel in case you wet yourself from laughing so much....
